Business Development Manager
Full time Position
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager, Sales, Wholesaler to join our Sales & Marketing team in Greater Toronto Area. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy to increase DAMI’s market share; develop a territory coverage strategy and communication plan with existing and prospective advisors.
What your day looks like:
- Assist in approval of DAMI Corporate Bond fund on MFDA and IIROC platforms
- Actively promote DAMI Corporate Bond fund on MFDA and other dealer networks
- Engage and build relationships with relevant network Financial Advisors/Planners.
- Organizes and arranges regular conference calls, webinars, and presentations, in conjunction with portfolio managers to promote DAMI proprietary funds.
- Collect market intelligence and recommend product strategies
- Adheres to all compliance, regulatory, and legal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate in Business or equivalent
- CSC certification or CIM designation
- Minimum two years experience in investment management in Canada; experience in Mutual Fund distribution preferred.
- Proficient in MS Suite and CRM software
- Effective social media and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Compliance Manager
Full time Position
As the new Compliance Manager, you will establish and promote a leading Canadian regulatory compliance program, policies, and procedures. You will collaborate with the board of directors and senior executive leadership. In addition, as the Manager Anti-Money Laundering Officer (CAMLO) and the Manager Privacy Officer (CPO), you will identify and manage compliance risks related to privacy standards and anti-money laundering.
What your day looks like:
- Directly manage the concerns of clients and advisors from our MFDA and IIROC partners across Canada.
- Perform projects in support of regulatory filings and/or internal reviews, including updating policies and procedure manuals.
- Assess current processes with the goal of using technology to recommend and implement enhancements
- Manage regulatory relationships and appropriately respond to requests for information, required reports, and examinations.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate in Business or equivalent.
- CCO, CSC certification, or CIM designation
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry and familiarity with products, distribution, and marketing
- Experience reviewing KYC, investor classification and conducting suitability reviews.
- Ability to be registered as a Chief Compliance Officer with OSC. If not currently able, must be committed to taking the required course(s) within a short period.
